Outlook Express set up
Here is a sample configuration for the fictive account james@example.com.
The domaine name is www.example.com,
POP Server = mail.example.com
Login = james%example.com
Password = the password received by James Dupont.
Here's the set up more detailed :
Step 1 : When Outlook Express is opened: Click on Tools. A pull-down menu appears. Select Accounts. A new window opens.
Step 2 :
Click the Mail tab. A pull-down menu appears. Choose Add and then Mail. The wizard will automatically follow the procedure.
Step 3 : Enter your name and click on Next
Step 4 : Check the option « I have an e-mail address that I would like to serve. »
Enter your e-mail address before clicking Next.
Step 5 : The internet connection wizard is now asking the addresses of your mail server.
The incoming mail server is for example mail.example.com
Outgoing mail server is the provider of internet connection.
Click on Next.
Step 6 : The wizard will ask now:
The account name : james% example.com
The Password : password that you received
Having done so, click on Next
Step 7 : Now, it's done, click now on Finish.
Step 8 : Your account is now added to the account list.
